Every day, restaurants prepare more food than they sell. Bakeries pull beautiful loaves from the oven that won't survive the night. Sushi counters slice fresh fish that won't keep. Most of it is thrown away — not because it's gone bad, but because there isn't a fast, dignified way to get it to the people who'd love to eat it.
Rescue It exists to close that gap. We connect three communities — diners, restaurants, and charities — through one simple platform. Diners discover delicious surplus food at a steep discount. Restaurants recover costs and reduce waste. Charities receive donations in real time and feed their neighbors.
Surplus food shouldn't be hidden away or thrown out. It should travel quickly and respectfully to whoever can use it most.
One rescued meal isn't world-changing. A million is. We're building the infrastructure to make those millions easy.
Independent kitchens already operate on razor-thin margins. We exist to support them — not to add another burden to their day.
Since launching, our community has rescued over 2.4 million meals from 820+ restaurants across 140 cities. Together, we've prevented an estimated 1,200 metric tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere. We're just getting started.
Our team is a small group of engineers, designers, and former restaurant operators. We have a single, stubborn belief: with the right tools, ending food waste is a solvable problem. Thanks for being here.
